Overview

KinCare Finder ("we," "us") operates this website to help people find and compare in-home care providers. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to reach us with questions. It applies to this website only, not to the third-party providers listed on it.

Information we collect

• Information you submit. If you send an inquiry to a provider or use our contact form, we store the name, email address, phone number (if given), and message you provide. We use this only to record the inquiry and, for contact form messages, to respond to you. We do not send this data to providers automatically — provider inquiries are sent from your own email client, which you control.
• Saved and compared providers. If you save or compare listings, that list is stored in your browser's local storage only. It is never transmitted to us and is cleared if you clear your browser's site data.
• Analytics. On our live production site, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, general location, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies and only runs after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; declining keeps it off. We do not use analytics data to identify you individually.

Cookies and advertising

We currently use cookies only for the analytics described above. If we introduce advertising in the future, ads may be served by third-party vendors, including Google, who may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. We will update this policy before any ad-serving cookies go live.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate the site, respond to messages, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share contact form or inquiry submissions with third parties except as needed to operate the site (for example, our hosting and database providers) or if required by law.

Data retention

We keep contact and inquiry submissions only as long as needed to respond to you and maintain a record of the interaction. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see "Your choices" below.

Your choices

You can decline analytics cookies at any time from the cookie banner, clear saved/compared listings by clearing your browser's local storage, and request access to or deletion of information you've submitted by contacting us.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. We'll update the effective date above when we do.
